Whoah Nellie
Barn name: Nellie
Nellie's dam has a very nice udder with a strong medial and perfectly placed teats. Unfortunately, she has never been on milk test. However, Nellie's dam's dam easily earned her AR star in all 3 components as a 2nd freshener. Nellie's sire is well known in the Nubian community and has inherited his *B. Her sire's dam easily earned her AR star in all 3 components AS A FIRST FRESHENER. Nellie's pedigree is jam packed with superior genetics, finished champions, and milk stars.
She produced a single as a first freshener. Because of this, I feel her udder needs another freshening to reach it's full potential. She will be on 305-day milk test in 2025.
Nellie is a little different style than our other Nubian does. She's bigger and more structurally correct. Her udder is also different and has a flatter appearance. Her udder has about the same capacity as my other Nubians but it is not "meaty" at all. It milks out completely. I can't wait to see how it blossoms and improves with her second freshening.
Things I love about Nellie: Her strong breed character (check out the Roman nose), topline, rump angle, brisket, long body, and strong feet.
Height approx. 30".
